Are you a caregiver to a loved one at home who needs help with his or her daily needs? Or is your loved one receiving care at a day care centre? If your answer is yes to any of the above, the Home Caregiving Grant (HCG) may be able to help cover part of your caregiving expenses.

What is the Home Caregiving Grant?

The HCG is a $200 monthly cash payout to support your loved one. It is part of the caregiver support action plan by the Ministry of Health (MOH), which aims to strengthen the support given to caregiving for seniors in the community.

The HCG has replaced the Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) Grant since 1 October 2019. The monthly cash payout of $200 can be used to offset costs associated with caring for your loved one with permanent moderate disabilities.

Here is a side-by-side look at the two grants.
